Save the high street from further barbers - Petitions (Open)
Petition details
Portobello is a close knit community and are hard working people . At the moment there are numerous barbers / hairdressers on the high street all making custom however due to increase in rents / electric water there is no room for further competition . Local area Musselburgh is filled with Turkish barbers , unfortunately the business in Portobello cannot afford this to happen . At 308 Portobello high street and 240 Portobello high street a 2 further Kurdish barbers are attempting to open. This is going to effect business鈥� already in the area and also degrade the high street further, we cannot keep allowing every empty shop become a barbers / hairdressers. We as a community have to keep this seaside town welcoming , allowing other business鈥� to open so the town can survive and thrive.
