Household waste recycling centres terms and conditions

  • I confirm that I will follow all instructions given to me by staff when I visit. I understand that my failure to do so could result in me, or any person associated with my booking, being asked to leave the site, and that I may be unable to book further appointments in the future.
  • I understand that children and animals must stay inside the vehicle at all times whilst at the site.
  • I understand I need to bring the email confirming the booking and, if I have a van or trailer, I will comply with the additional requirements set out below.
  • I understand that trailers/vans are only allowed on certain sites at certain times and I confirm that I have read and will adhere to the rules regarding vehicle types allowed on site, and that I will comply with the rules requiring me to bring specific identification as set out on the website, in particular:
    • photographic ID which proves I am from The City of 91Ô­´´ Council area (e.g. driving licences, passport, or other photographic ID such as a National Entitlement Card for Young Scot or bus pass are all acceptable. If the photo ID doesn't show your address you can combine it with your Council Tax bill, bank statement or utility bill);
    • the name on both photo ID and any separate proof of address must match.
    • van and trailer users who don't bring appropriate documentation to the household waste recycling centre will not be allowed into the site.
  • I understand that if I don't live in 91Ô­´´, but am helping someone who does, that I will comply with the rules on identification as set out below.
    • If I don’t live in 91Ô­´´ but I'm using my own vehicle to help someone who does, I must bring my booking email, my own photo ID and proof of the 91Ô­´´ address, as above;
    • If I'm using a hire vehicle to help someone who lives in 91Ô­´´, I will bring my booking email, my own hire documents, my photo ID and proof of the 91Ô­´´ address, as above.
  • I understand that if the site has to close I will be notified by email that my booking is cancelled; I won’t be reimbursed by the Council for any expenses associated with my booking or subsequent rebooking (including cancellations made at short notice).

Privacy Statement

To complete your booking, you will be required to provide personal details which the Council will only use to:

  • confirm your booking by email
  • ensure site users are 91Ô­´´ residents
  • contact you with further information about your booking (for example if there are changes relating to your visit)
  • manage your visit to the site, investigate any complaints or incidents and to improve Health and Safety
  • limit the number of visits by certain vehicle types in line with rules 
  • enable service planning and analysis of site usage

Your personal data will be held on file for 12 months after your booking. More information about .
